Shedeur Sanders favored to go No. 1 overall in 2025 NFL Draft

College football's most controversial star is expected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Shedule Sanders led the Colorado Buffaloes to a 7-2 record, earned him a +200 rating on FanDuel and became the No. 1 draft pick.

Sanders is currently ahead of fellow quarterbacks Cam Ward (+750), Jackson Dart (+1500), and Jalen Milroe (+2200).

Sanders' teammate, two-way superstar Travis Hunter, is the second favorite to take first overall at +340.

It was an incredible result for the Buffaloes, who are currently ranked 18th in the nation behind Sanders and Hunter.

Currently, the Giants (2-8) and Jaguars (2-8) are in a fierce competition for the coveted No. 1 pick, with both teams struggling.

Of course, it's highly unlikely that the Jaguars let QB Trevor Lawrence go, so if Jacksonville takes the top spot in the draft, Coach Sanders would trade them out of that spot to a team in need of a QB. There is a high possibility that you will need it.

Sanders wouldn't be in this position without his outstanding performance alongside his father, Deion Sanders, who has repeatedly stated that his son won't play for just any team.

However, ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. disagreed, arguing that quarterbacks have been pushed too high up the leaderboard.

Sanders is ranked 11th. his big boardjust in front of Ward.

This Buffaloes team is much different than the one that narrowly defeated North Dakota State in the season opener.

Coach Sanders' group bounced back and defeated three powerhouse teams in a row: Arizona, Cincinnati, and Texas Tech.

The Buffaloes will play Utah on Saturday as 9.5-point favorites.
