The Chiefs' biggest superstars had their Kansas City-area homes burglarized last month, around the same time the team was scheduled to play.
On October 6th and October 7th, the homes of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were broken into within hours of each other. According to TMZ.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports that a source told TMZ that a robbery at Mahomes' residence was reported to police around midnight on October 6, and that Kelce's residence was burglarized several hours later. I was able to obtain this document.
Details of both incidents are limited, and it is unclear whether anything was taken from either home.
According to TMZ, police are investigating Mahomes' robbery, and police records only indicate that Kelce's home was broken into on October 8th.
The incident occurred before the Chiefs were scheduled to play the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.
Kansas City won 26-13, and Kelsey's girlfriend, pop icon Taylor Swift, was also in attendance.
Mahomes threw for 331 yards in the win, and Kelce had nine catches for 70 yards.
Neither player has publicly commented on the report.
Kelce had purchased a home in Leawood, Kansas, south of Kansas City, for more privacy after going public with his relationship with Swift.
Mahomes purchased land for his mansion in Belton, Missouri, in 2020.
He built a large site that included part of a soccer field, which was completed last year.
“I came here for an extended stay in Kansas City. I'm part of the Chiefs kingdom, and this house embodies that,” Mahomes said of the house on the Netflix series “Quarterback.” Ta.
The robbery is believed to be part of a larger crime, TMZ reports.
