Georgia first team out of Week 2 College Football Playoff rankings

It's only the second week of the College Football Playoff rankings, but the top five has already changed hands. After losses to both Georgia and Miami, there will likely be two open spots in the top 10, making it a little harder to earn an automatic bid to the first 12-team playoffs. Other than that, not much has changed on the quiet side when it comes to the college football world. The SEC is currently in a tight race, with eight players potentially tied for the top spot. The duel between Texas and Texas A&M will very likely decide who makes the SEC title game. Grab some popcorn for that. In the ACC, Miami's loss threw everyone for a loop, but Pitt also lost against Virginia, so the race between SMU, Miami, and Clemson is still on. In the Group of 5, Boise State continues to win, but they can't afford to slide. Army is in hot pursuit, with a date with Notre Dame still on the schedule.

With that said, here are the second edition of the College Football Playoff rankings and the standings of the 12-team playoff as of Tuesday.
