Kate Middleton’s Christmas carol concert confirmed to return, poignant theme revealed

Duchess Kate is feeling the celebratory cheer.

The Princess of Wales, 42, will host her annual Christmas carol concert next month after what has been a difficult year for her and the royal family, the palace has announced.

With a new theme each year, the December service will focus on the importance of love and empathy, reflecting on “how much we need each other, especially during the most difficult times in our lives.”

Middleton, who recently announced that she is cancer-free after completing chemotherapy, will host a televised celebration from Westminster Abbey on December 6.

Given her health issues, her participation in this year's event was previously in doubt.
