UFC 309 fighter Jim Miller calls for ‘Justice for P’Nut’ in victory speech

Legends never die.

UFC fighter Jim Miller used his victory speech at Madison Square Garden to draw attention to P'nut the Squirrel's political cause.

Miller extended his record for most wins in UFC history to 27 on Saturday night. But Miller, a New Jersey native, had other things in mind when he met host Joe Rogan during the postgame interview.

“We need justice for Punat,” UFC fighter Jim Miller said in his victory speech at MSG.

“New York, let me start by saying one thing: We need justice for peanuts.” miller said After instantly submitting his opponent Damon Jackson with a guillotine chokehold in the first round.

When the name of Punat, who was confiscated from his home and murdered by the state of New York last month, was mentioned, the crowd began to roar, some cheering, others booing in anger at the state.

“It's more than just a squirrel,” Miller continued. “It's all the kids who went hungry that night. All the other things we could have put money and resources into.”

“I hope DOGE will clean things up at the state level,” Miller said, referring to the newly launched executive branch project launched by President-elect Trump, Elon Musk and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswami. I hope so,” he concluded.

Joe Rogan replied, confused, “I like how you used your post-win speech as a political rally.”

Miller is hopeful that President Trump's DOGE, led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, will “clean things up” within the government. Zuffa LLC

The story of Punat the Squirrel has served as a major political motivator for conservatives, becoming Elon Musk's pet cause and even graced Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch's conversations.

Conservatives say Punat's euthanasia is an example of unnecessary government intrusion and overreach.

Conservatives have held up the story as an example of unnecessary government intrusion and overreach.
