Are you an early riser? Sunday is one of those mornings where I can't get out of bed early. I have a 5-year-old child, so I still wake up early. But she comes into bed with us.
Breakfast in bed? Very true. I don't drink tea or coffee, but I'm always the one who wakes up in the morning and makes a cup for my wife and apple juice for my daughter. Plus, I'll bring them pancakes, fruit, whatever they want. Nothing extravagant, but I put it on one of Grandma's trays and go upstairs like a waitress. Then I go back to bed and have a relaxing morning.
Morning routine? I usually take my daughter to the gymnastics soft play center at 10:30am. It's full of hungover parents watching their kids jump into bubble holes. God forbid you ever descend into the bubble pit if you are forced to participate. Because that's the hardest place to get out of. You'll probably lose your socks or show your boobs to someone.
Sunday roast? Yes, two Yorkshire puddings, I'm a purist. You don't need fancy stuff like pumpkin spiced red cabbage or paprika cauliflower cheese. I want it to be done properly. My partner is a great cook, so either she makes it or we go to the local butcher.
A rainy afternoon? My daughter loves crafts. Recently, I wanted to make a character for the spotted frog song, so I made a frog. Then she also wanted a fly. This was the limit of my artistic skills. Things have really changed since before I had her. when i was riding BBC BreakfastSunday was my day to prepare for the next day's work, and I often ended up catching the train sometime in the afternoon so I could interview someone. I used to hate Sundays. Now they are nice.
evening entertainment? There are lights that give the kitchen a disco effect. We love pink and Taylor Swift, and my partner is obsessed with Belinda Carlyle. So sometimes I do that, dance, and then read a story to my little girl. When she's in bed, we open a bottle of red and watch a movie or read a book.
