Anthony Richardson leads Colts on game-winning drive as Jets drop another heartbreaker

Just when it looked like the New York Jets were headed for a much-needed victory, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson had something else in mind.

The Colts came from behind to win 28-27, culminating in Richardson's second rushing touchdown of the day.

Jets kicker Anders Karlsson knew he needed to score a touchdown for the Colts to win, but he made a 35-yard field goal with 2 minutes, 41 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give New York the win. Gave them a 5 point lead.

With time on his hands, Richardson used the second play of the final drive to find Alec Pierce deep on the right sideline for a 39-yard score into Jets territory.

Josh Downs then hauled in a pass and carried it to the 10-yard line for a 17-yard gain and Richardson was not denied for his third and goal. Jonathan Taylor's two-point conversion attempt failed, but he pushed it into the colored paint from four yards remaining.

Aaron Rodgers and the Jets' offense struggled early but picked up steam in the second half, but still had time to get downfield and get into field goal range. However, the drive got off to a bad start with a Rodgers fumble that set the Jets back seven yards.

While Taylor struggled for the Colts with 57 yards on 24 carries, Richardson had one of the best passing games of the season, going 20-of-30 for 272 yards. His one touchdown pass went to Josh Downs, who led the game in receiving with 84 yards.
