NFL Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher on Athletes Showing Support for Trump: ‘No One’s Scared Anymore’

Pro Football Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher told Fox News on Monday that athletes are no longer afraid to publicly reveal their support for Donald Trump.

Support for Trump is widespread across the sports world. This was evident during Sunday's Week 11 NFL game, when players across the country did a “Trump dance” in recognition of their great play.

But Urlacher noted that many athletes feared being canceled because of their support for Trump in the past. That's not true anymore, he said Jesse Watters of Fox News.

“People have been scared for a while. If you're a Donald Trump supporter, you don't want people talking bad about you, and you don't want people talking bad about you and how we've been talked about for the last four years. I don’t want to,” Urlacher said.

“Now that I think about it, I'm not scared of anyone anymore. It's nice to see these people and the silent Trump supporters (who has consistently been favored in the polls) coming out.” … I think they're just excited that he got the job done right now, and he's going to get the job done over the next four years,” he added.

The longtime Chicago Bears star said the sports world is extremely excited about Trump becoming president-elect.

But Urlacher has been a supporter of President-elect Trump since he first ran for office in 2016, despite what he called all the “false accusations” Democrats have thrown at the former president in numerous lawsuits. Despite this, he has proudly supported President Trump in 2024.

After graduating from the University of New Mexico, Urlacher spent his entire 12-year career with the Chicago Bears. In 182 NFL games, the eight-time Pro Bowl starter started all but two, amassing 1,361 tackles and 41.5 sacks.

He retired in 2012 and was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2018.

Donald Trump was scheduled to retire in 2021. forgiven Brian's brother, Casey Urlacher, was facing federal charges in a sports betting investigation.

Urlacher called the meeting with Donald Trump “a once-in-a-lifetime experience” when he met him in the Oval Office.
