Sources say a deranged freak slashed a Danish tourist in the face in an apparently random attack on the Upper West Side on Wednesday morning.
Sources say Screwball was caught on camera chasing the 55-year-old victim on West 86th Street off Columbus Avenue around 10:40 a.m., before the victim approached him from behind. He allegedly slashed the man's left ear and cheek.
He is said to have then sprinted away the way he came without saying a word.
Officials said the suspect was wearing a gray T-shirt, black athletic pants and sneakers.

Footage of the attack showed the victim walking calmly down the street with a group of friends, looking completely at ease until his attackers left in hot pursuit.
