‘It’s a Felony to Harbor Illegal Aliens’

Tom Homan, President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for border czar, warns liberal Democratic Boston Mayor Michelle Wu and others not to try to intervene with ICE agents who will soon be sent to detain illegal aliens. I am doing it.

On Tuesday, Wu, who was accused of locking black residents, including children, out of community centers and sheltering immigrants instead, told voters he intended to “protect our residents” from all efforts of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Ta. Agents round up illegal immigrants who are subject to deportation to their home countries.

In her speech, Wu said He said the city will do everything in its power to “protect our residents in every possible way,” adding that the city “will not cooperate with efforts that spread fear and actually threaten the safety of all people.” [sic] It has a huge economic impact.” new york post Reported.

But after the press conference, Homan appeared on Fox News and warned Wu and other left-wing officials not to break the law.

homan said Fox News says that if Democrats don't want to help ICE round up and deport illegals, they should be “totally hands off” and let ICE do its job unhindered. he claimed.

“If we could send twice as many resources to that city, we would do it,” he said. explained. “If they allow us into the prison, that means fewer community workers. For them, resisting and not putting us in prison means: It only means more staff joining the community, and they are putting themselves in harm’s way.”

But he also warned of the legal consequences of obstructing ICE from doing its job.

“They need to educate themselves,” Homan said of these recalcitrant officials. “They need to take a look at this: 8 U.S.C. § 1324 — read about it and don’t cross that line, because it’s a felony to harbor or hide an illegal alien from ICE. Please read the law. Don't cross that line.”

Wu is not the only left-wing mayor or state official to vow to “protect” “immigrant communities.” As an example, Democratic Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has publicly vowed to “protect illegal immigrants” in his state against the Trump administration.

Colorado's liberal governor, Jared Polis, also vowed to do everything in his power to obstruct President Trump's immigration policies, saying:

We have people who have built their lives here and have families here, so-called mixed-status families. It could be a husband or a wife, one of whom is documented and the other is undocumented. The children were born here and are American. In other words, we shouldn't tear apart the de facto American family. The only reason another family member is not fully documented and eligible is because Congress failed to secure our borders and enact comprehensive immigration reform.

The governors of Arizona, New York and Massachusetts have made similar comments.

The Los Angeles City Council recently voted unanimously on November 19th to become a “sanctuary city” to resist President Trump's policies.
