In his first season with the World Series champion Dodgers, Ohtani hit an astonishing 50 home runs and stole 50 bases, earning him his third MVP award and becoming the first player in the National League to do so. Besides the legendary Frank Robinson, Ohtani is the only player to win the Most Valuable Player Award in both the National League and the American League.
Judge, the captain of the Yankees, came close to breaking his own American League single-season home run record, but although he fell short, he had one of the best seasons in baseball, winning the league MVP for the second time in three seasons. Spent one. Judge had 58 home runs, 144 RBIs, and a .322 batting average.
