Hogan Gidley, a former Trump aide, said the reason the president-elect did not choose Treasury Secretary was because of overwhelming interest in the position.
“There are a lot of people competing for that position. You know, this is a very important position and it's very important to the incoming administration. The American people are voting primarily on the economy,” Gidley said Thursday. He told Blake Berman during an appearance on NewsNation's “The Hill.”
He declined to serve, but said Trump was looking for someone “trustworthy” and “loyal” to the values, ideals and vision of the incoming administration.
“It's a long list of people. I was at Mar-a-Lago the last few days and watching the jockeying that happened there,” Guidry said.
“I think a lot of people want to be in that administration because they know America's best days are yet to come. America will make us more feared and loved on the world stage.” , not only respected, but very much loved by many people in this country.
