An Irish civil jury has ruled in 2018 that Conor McGregor sexually assaulted a woman in his penthouse after a night of partying.
A woman who claimed she was “brutally raped and assaulted” by a UFC fighter in the penthouse of a Dublin hotel was awarded nearly 250,000 euros ($257,000) in compensation on Friday.
The woman had to interrupt her emotional testimony multiple times as she said McGregor threatened to kill her during the encounter. The defense said the woman never told investigators that McGregor threatened her life.

Paramedics who examined the woman the next day testified that they had never seen anyone with such severe bruising.
McGregor put her in a chokehold several times and then was forced to admit defeat at the Ultimate Fighting Championship, saying, “I don't know how I felt when I tapped out three times in the Octagon. You'll understand,'' he reportedly told her.
She was worried that she would die and never see her daughter again.
“He let me go. I remember saying I was sorry. I felt like I had done something wrong so I wouldn't tell anyone so he wouldn't hurt me again.” I wanted to reassure him,” she said.
She said he then let him do what he wanted and he had sex with her.

Mr McGregor said their sex was athletic and energetic, but not rough. He said, “She never said 'no' or stopped,” and testified that everything she said was a lie.
When asked about the allegation that he strangled her, he said, “This is a blatant lie among many lies.'' “Who would believe that I, a proud person, would emphasize my own shortcomings?”
The court was also shown CCTV footage that allegedly showed the woman kissing Mr McGregor's arm and hugging him after he left the hotel room. Farrell said she looked “happy, happy, happy.”
Mr McGregor added that he intended to appeal the decision.
“I am disappointed that the jury did not hear all of the evidence reviewed by the Democratic Party. I am now with my family and focused on my future. Thank you for all the support from around the world. Masu.” he wrote to x.
McGregor was previously accused of sexually assaulting someone in a bathroom during a 2022 NBA Finals game, but avoided prosecution.
