Even the women's professional golf tournament can't escape the Trump dance.

Last week, British women's golf star Charlie Hull performed at the sport's premier event, a phenomenon that has seen American athletes use the dance to celebrate important moments during their matches since President Trump's victory. He brought this movement to Annika.

On Thursday, Hull spoke about dancing and her feelings about the president-elect, calling him “amazing” and a “legend.”

“I love Trump. I think he's a great guy,” Hull said at the CME Group Tour Championship in Tiburon. “I like that he just says things. He doesn't care what people think and gets straight to the point.”

Mr Hull went so far as to say he would prefer Mr Trump to lead his home country of the UK, rather than current Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

“I wish he had been the head of England,” she added. “I just like him as a person. He's a little better than our prime minister.”

Mr Starmer became president in July this year after his Labor Party won a majority in parliament. Labor's victory ended 14 years of Conservative rule and gave them the smallest electoral share of any majority government since popular vote records began in 1830.

Mr Starmer's term has already been marked by early corruption scandals. He sparked controversy in September when it was reported that he had failed to declare gifts of clothes worth thousands of pounds to his wife from Labor Party donor Baron Waheed Ali.

Trump has thus earned Hull's love and respect for the current leader of his home country.

Hull had previously expressed an interest in Scotland's Trump Turnberry returning to the Women's Open Championship in the future.

“It's a great golf course and I thought it was a lot of fun,” she told The Telegraph in preparation for the Scottish Open. “I love being outside and the scenery is amazing.

“Honestly, this is one of the best golf courses in the world. It would be a shame not to be a part of it.”

Other professional golfers have also expressed their support for Trump, including Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson, who attended his presidential victory party and played a round with him on a course in Florida.

The Trump dance as a means of celebration has been a particularly controversial topic within the NFL in recent weeks. San Francisco 49ers linebacker Nick Bosa, Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers, Tennessee Titans wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook Ikain, and Detroit Lions defensive end Za'Darius Smith and linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez have both been seen dancing at games since Trump's inauguration. victory.
