Dems Are Going After Tulsi Gabbard Because ‘She Left Their Woke Party’

“Democrats are going after former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard because she left the woke party,” Sen. Mark Wayne Mullin (R-Okla.) said Sunday on CNN's “State of the Union.” “I'm angry,” he said.

Host Dana Bash said, “I know you listened to Sen. Duckworth explain Donald Trump's selection of Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence. You called him a person who fully supports and supports President Putin. What do you think about that?

Marin said, “I think it's dangerous, Tammy, listen. I have a lot of respect for Tammy and I've known her for years. We served together in the House of Commons.'' It's wrong for her to say such ridiculous and blatantly dangerous words. Remember, Tulsi Gabbard is still a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army. She commands a reserve unit here in Oklahoma and Missouri, even if she's in danger, even if she can't pass a background check, even if she can't do her job. Still wouldn't be in the Army. So Tammy is completely wrong on this and she should take back her words. That's the best she can say. That's a dangerous word, could it be that a US Army lieutenant colonel is in danger and is a Russian asset? It's actually sad to hear her say that, when I say that. When I heard her say that, I wondered if this was a political thing, because she said Tulsi Gabbard left the Democratic Party because they woke up. She's angry because she actually knows when they were in the house. She knows Tulsi Gabbard. She has a heart for service, so I think this is probably more politically motivated than there is any truth to it.”
