Jayden Daniels’ miracle TD ruined by Commanders missing another extra point vs. Cowboys

of commander of washington It was one of the great stories of the 2024 season, when rookie quarterback Jaden Daniels led his team to the playoffs with a miraculous play. He almost got another shot in Week 12 against the Washington Commanders — all he needed was Austin Seibert. I finished my work.

The managers had just forced the Cowboys to punt and were trailing 27-20 with 21 seconds left. Daniels lined up at his own 35 and somehow found Terry McLaurin for a wild 86-yard catch-and-run score.

Despite announcers warning viewers not to get ahead of themselves, chaos erupted at FedEx Field. Kicker Austin Seibert missed an extra point early in the game, but there was no way he was going to miss another point. right?

It wasn't entirely Seibert's fault. The long snapper fired the ball low. Holder Torres Way was able to quickly adjust and get the ball in place. Unfortunately for the managers, Seibert missed it out of the uprights.

The Commanders trailed 34-26, but Daniels was unable to pull off another Hail Mary. The Commanders fell to 7-5 with the loss, but the Cowboys improved to 4-7 with the win.
