Donald Trump made history by winning the 2024 presidential election in a landslide. But he didn't do it alone; his son's wife, Lara Trump, played a big role in making it happen.
She's now telling Liz Wheeler on “The Liz Wheeler Show” exactly how they did it.
“There were people at the RNC, so to speak, that we had identified to some extent before the first day of office, who probably didn't necessarily need to work at the RNC anymore,” Trump told Wheeler.
“I think in some ways the RNC was trying to do too much to too many people in this election, and when you do something like that, you can't really do anything right. You’re spreading yourself too thin,” she continued, noting that she decided to focus on three things instead:
“We said we want to have a world-class tournament, we want to bring out the votes, we want to protect the ballot, and we're just going to focus on those three things. Anyone who thinks otherwise , frankly, this may not be the right place for you,” Trump explained.
To ensure this election is a “free, fair, and transparent election,” President Trump said, “I want people to know that someone is watching, and that every vote and vote count is watched.” He told Mr. Wheeler that he had confirmed that the
“We needed to go to every battleground state and get local media to cover the fact that we were promoting election integrity at scale. So we set up offices across the country, Election Integrity Offices. “We're opening up offices and really training people on what to look for there and how to become poll watchers and poll workers and things like that,” she explains.
Trump's team set a “lofty” goal of hiring 100,000 people to work at polling places, but ended up hiring 230,000. It also hired 6,500 lawyers to identify potential problems and address them as they arise.
“Most of these people were volunteer lawyers, by the way,” she explained, adding, “We're obviously very happy with our results.”
Wheeler is impressed.
“I know some lawyers who have worked for you. Almost all of the smart, conservative lawyers who work in the media and politics are on this, which means a lot of very impressive A lot of people were participating in this,” she says.
