Fmr Harris Advisor Says He’s ‘Sick And Tired’ Of GOP Super PACs Playing ‘Different Game,’ Alleges Illegal Activities

David Plouffe, a former senior adviser to Vice President Kamala Harris, said on Tuesday's podcast that he wants to play a “different game” than Republican super PACs, even as he claims they engage in illegal activity. “I'm tired of it,” he said.

After Harris lost both the electoral college and the popular vote to President-elect Donald Trump, Democratic experts and lawmakers have been vocal about their doubts about the Republican Party's significant election results. On 'Pod Save America', Harris' former senior adviser expresses dissatisfaction with how Democrats handle super PAC rules before explaining how Democrats could focus more on specific voters did.

“We experienced something like this a while ago, and now that we are witnessing it again, we have to stop playing another game that has nothing to do with the Republican Party but with the Super PACS. Our Democratic Lawyers please love [but] I'm tired of it. got it? They're more coordinated than we are, and I think there's some jadedness among them about presidential campaigns. Okay, so we can’t be the worst off,” Plouffe said.

“Secondly, from Jen's point of view, I don't think you want any duplication. But I think it's great to have multiple players on the field as long as they work well together. Back in the '20s. Like, I spent a lot of time with Tara McGowan, who is currently running. [the] ACRONYM courier service [organization] And everything we did. I think it was $80 million or $90 million, which was great,” Plouffe added. “We just did a digital vote with little information, right? So no matter what future [PAC] We were particularly focused on low-information voters of color. ”

Plouffe went on to say that Democrats are at a disadvantage when they operate by a “different set of rules” and accused Republican super PACs of operating differently during former President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. “So whether it's an issue like reproductive health or climate or manufacturing or healthcare, or a specific area of focus in terms of messaging, building an ecosystem is really, really important. I think it’s important,” Plouffe said. “I think they tend to have more groups. To Stephanie's point, what they're doing is clearly illegal. If we are playing by the rules of , we are at a disadvantage.”

“So if you go back to 2012, you might remember Mitt Romney running around the country asking for a specific amount of money at a super PAC event that Barack Obama would attend. I was told I couldn't even do that,” Plouffe said. “So, I think at the end of the day, this is what's important. Again, this isn't the biggest reason for the different outcome here, but to win a close game, you want to maximize every weapon in your arsenal.” So I think this is something we have to really reflect on and adjust going forward.”

Despite spending more than $1 billion through her campaign, Harris' group continues to solicit donations from donors, with her campaign reportedly $20 million in debt, according to Politico. This is causing a backlash. The Democratic National Committee has also come under fire for laying off hundreds of employees, with some questioning the committee's spending habits.
