Country singer allegedly violates bond to attend CMAs; judge issues a warrant for his arrest

Aspiring country music singer Austin Tanner is facing a warrant for his arrest for allegedly violating the terms of his bond by attending the 2024 CMA Awards.

An Alabama judge on Nov. 26, days after Tanner traveled from Alabama to Nashville to attend the Nov. 20 awards ceremony without seeking court approval, according to documents obtained by Fox News Digital. issued a warrant for Mr. Tanner's arrest.

Tanner was charged in April with two counts of insurance fraud and attempted theft of property, but was released on $20,000 bail and would not “leave the state without appearing in court,” documents state. . Tanner was fully aware of the condition, the documents state.

“The state alleges there is evidence that the defendant traveled outside of Alabama on or about November 20, 2024, as evidenced by photos posted by the defendant to his respective Facebook and Instagram accounts.” is stated in the document.

“Given that the defendant was fully aware of the bond's travel requirements and openly disregarded its restrictions, the State seeks to have his bond revoked.”
