More than 10 years after coming out as transgender, the lead singer of rock band Life of Agony has released his gender transition.
Mina Caputo, 50, said he has “cured” his gender dysphoria and plans to live his life as a man again, announcing that he has already begun the process.
“Surgery has been booked to remove my fake breasts. I will continue to live lovingly as a holy man,” the rocker said in an Instagram video. per daily mail.
“I healed from my gender dysphoria. It took years and many walks through the fire, but I was able to overcome my misconceptions about my soul and spirit.”

Caputo told his followers that he has not taken hormones for several years, adding that the transition process will be completed next year.
“Yes, it has been six or seven years since I stopped hormone therapy and in January 2025, I am scheduled for surgery to remove my fake breasts and I am starting to feel better about myself as a divine man. I plan to live with love inside,” the singer said.
“I will be completely physically detransitioned in 2025. I can't wait. I feel so free.”
The band's lead singer said he was “very proud” of himself.
“I've been through a lot over the years. I don't want my biggest enemy to be gender dysphoria. This is one of the most unpleasant things I've ever experienced in my life.” That’s one thing, but I’m really glad it’s over.”
Life of Agony bassist and co-founder Alan Robert expressed support for Caputo's transition in the comments section.
