Lowe’s Goes All Out To Make Sure People Are Fed On Thanksgiving

Iconic American company Lowe's Home Improvement hopes to distribute 3,000 free meals to families on Thanksgiving at six locations in North Carolina.

Home improvement company hired local restaurants to prepare these meals for needy people, WSOC-TV reported Tuesday.

Local restaurants selected by Lowe's as we recover from Hurricane Helen.

“This is huge,” Brian Stause of Zella's Deli & Restaurant told the magazine.

“The economic strain was caused by the storm, which is why we are asking people not to come to Asheville and the entire region during the biggest time of the year,” he added. A reporter from the news agency observed on Tuesday that people were starting to buy meals. Some people arrived two hours early. Family members told WSOC-TV they were happy to get food for the holidays.

Lowe's was founded in 1921 as a “small-town North Carolina hardware store.” has grown exponentially since then. The company is named after its founder, LS Lowe.
