San Jose State's women's volleyball team advances to the Mountain West finals after its semifinal opponent, Boise State, forfeited its semifinal match.
It was the third loss this season for the Lady Broncos against the Spartans, who also forfeited two regular season games.
The revocation was announced during the enrollment at SJSU of transgender athlete Blair Fleming, who has become one of the conference's top players.

Opponents of transgender athletes in biological women's sports say the athletes and teams have an unfair advantage. But a USA Today columnist called those who refuse to allow transgender athletes to play a “real threat.”
Nancy Armor said, “While there is a lot of screaming about transgender female athletes, it is cisgender women pushing for disqualification that is costing fellow athletes opportunities and teams a loss.'' '', he wrote in a column headlined “Opinion: San Jose State Ruling.'' The volleyball incident reveals the travesty of transgender hysteria. ”
“The real threat is not the San Jose State players, it's the women.”
Although her X account is private, Armer still received a lot of criticism for her comments online.

Leah Thomas responds to San Jose State women's volleyball transgender controversy
“Is your brain really this broken,” Clay Travis posted.
“@USATODAY, women who stand up for women are not hysterical. It's courageous and it's about time.” another user wrote.
Added another one“Nancy Armor is a misogynist and hates women. I'm proud of her for not backing down after the season. I want every woman in the Boise State program to be proud. My daughter will grow up with your courage.”
Boise State, Wyoming, Utah State and Nevada were among the conference teams that canceled games against the Spartans as a result of Fleming joining the team. They knew their record would be destroyed by the forfeit, which ultimately helped SJSU secure a high seed.
Earlier this week, Colorado federal judge Kato Cruz, who was appointed by President Biden in January, denied an injunction against the conference by college volleyball players seeking to reverse Fleming's suspension and forfeiture.
