Billy Bob Thornton Scene from Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Landman’ Rips Green Energy Hoax

A scene from the new Taylor Sheridan series Landman Paramount+ went viral for explaining how wind turbines are a green energy quack because they don't offset the carbon emissions needed to make them.

Episode 3 of LandmanThe film, which premiered Sunday, follows oil company fixer Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) discussing wind energy with his lawyer (Kayla Wallace).

“Do you know how much diesel they had to burn to mix that much concrete?” Thornton's character says, later adding: Or will it be winterized? ”

“A 20-year lifespan cannot offset the carbon emissions associated with manufacturing.”

Thornton's character also scams other green energy scams.

“And don't even get me started on the lithium in solar panels or Tesla batteries,” he said. “And if the whole world decided to use electricity tomorrow, never mind the fact that there would be no power lines to send electricity to cities. If we started tomorrow, it would take 30 years.”

Landman This is the latest series of yellowstone Co-created by Taylor Sheridan and based on the popular oil-themed podcast Boomtown. The series follows oil company Landman (Thornton), who first appears in the investigation of a fatal accident in West Texas.
