According to a report by Politico, Donald Trump's victory has further divided the Never Trump movement.

“Trump's victory splinters the already fractured Never Trump movement, further corralling his MAGA outcasts and regrouping some of his most prominent Republican critics,” the report said. “I decided to fight for relevance within the Republican Party,” he said.

Politico reported:

Donald Trump's victory splintered the already fractured Never Trump movement, further corralled his MAGA outcasts, and pushed some of his most prominent Republican critics into the fold within the reorganized Republican Party. I decided to fight for relevance.

Former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley recently harshly criticized two of the president-elect's senior appointees, Tulsi Gabbard and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., on her radio show. Former Virginia Rep. Barbara Comstock criticized President Trump's nominees as a cabinet of “Putinists and pedophiles.” And former Vice President Mike Pence tried to rally anti-abortion conservatives against Kennedy as President Trump's Secretary of Health and Human Services.

But they are shouting warnings from the sidelines as President Trump, who has already overhauled the party, is pushing to remake Washington in his MAGA image. And he is doing so with the support of broadly supportive Republicans who have little political incentive to listen to his critics.

“The Never Trumpers and the Lincoln Project people just need a few years to dig themselves out of their depths,” said Scott Reed, a veteran Republican strategist and leader of the pro-Pence America PAC. he said.

59% of Americans approve of President Trump's handling of the transition so far.
