College Football Playoff odds, bubble teams, hopefuls, best contenders

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee's war room will not only decide which teams have a chance to win the national title, but millions of dollars from bettors will be riding on it as well.

With only conference championship games remaining this Friday and Saturday, the odds board looks at which teams have a chance to win a few games and make it to the national championship game, and which teams will move in and out of the 12-team field. It reveals whether it is possible.

Teams participating in the bubble include Alabama, Ole Miss, Miami and South Carolina.

According to FanDuel, the odds for Alabama to make the playoffs are -130, with a “no” reading of +102.

The Crimson Tide has impressive wins over ranked Georgia, South Carolina and Missouri, but three losses to Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Oklahoma hurt the team's goals.

Selection officials will no doubt debate the Crimson Tide's case back and forth over Miami, which has +750 odds on FanDuel.

The remaining bubble teams are long shots similar to Miami and will need some help.

If they lose to Clemson in the ACC title game, that support will include the SMU Mustangs (11-1).
