They woke up and chose violence. Twice.
The men who attacked Paul Bissonnette at an Arizona restaurant on November 24 had been involved in another fight hours earlier at nearby Raven Golf Club.
A video shared by Shea Stevens on social media last week shows six men, who had just finished a round of golf and were allegedly angry that the bar was closing, cornering Raven's staff and pushing them against a wall. It shows how it is being pushed. Then he throws a punch.
Another employee steps in and tries to break up the scuffle as jabs rain down.
The staffer, who asked to be identified only by his first name, told the news site. AZ family He had a “good black eye” from the fight.
“The left side of my jaw is still quite sore,” the 19-year-old said.
Carter also told AZFamily that the man in the green polo shirt seen hitting him in the video is the same man Scottsdale police identified as Danny Bradley in a mug shot released last week. He said he was “100 percent” sure that it was. .
As the scuffle continues, a third Raven employee and other hooligans join in.
Multiple chairs fall over, at least one shoe is lost, and the fight eventually breaks up.
“This is exactly what happened in Houston.” [restaurant]” Bissonnette — former NHL bruiser turned media personality — talked about surveillance video.
Bissonnette was inside the restaurant around 7:30 p.m. local time when he saw golfers huddled together with servers and managers.
A former Arizona coyote intervened, and the ensuing fight spilled out of the restaurant and into an adjacent parking lot.
After the altercation, Bissonnette described the beating he received: “I got knocked down a few times…I got my boots kicked a few times.” [outside]. Luckily I wasn't knocked out, but [but] I went to the hospital. ”
He then vowed to “ruin” unruly golfers.
While many have praised Bissonnette for protecting vulnerable wait staff at Houston's, others say he shouldn't have gotten involved in something that wasn't his job.
On a recent episode of the Barstool Sports podcast “Spittin' Chiclets,” Bissonnette, who is also an NHL analyst for TNT, addressed these critics.
“Maybe I should have sat down and waited for my salad… [but] When I saw those same damn eyes I saw in those videos of hooligans assaulting people with golf clubs, I had no choice but to follow my instincts. ” Bissonnette said.
He then added, “If Bradley and the other bastards avoid it.” [their court date] And they try to stay hidden, I'm going to do everything in my power to make them disappear. ”
Scottsdale police are currently working to determine whether the attack on the Raven was carried out by the same suspect who was charged with assaulting Bissonnette in Houston.
