Trevor Lawrence has a very good chance of being active this season.
The Jaguars have placed their quarterback on injured reserve with a concussion, which will likely end his time on the field during the 2024 NFL season.
Lawrence will be eligible to return in Week 18, but it will be Mac Jones under center who will finish the season 2-10 with the Jags and be mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
Lawrence was injured during Sunday's loss to the Texans when he was hit in the head by Azeez Al Shaair when the QB slipped while running.
The Jaguars star remained on the ground for a moment and was immediately ruled out for the remainder of the game.
The hit prompted a lot of criticism of Al Shail, who was handed a three-match suspension on Tuesday.
In a statement on his social media, Lawrence wrote on December 1st. He said, “I feel better now that I'm home,” and thanked everyone for their concern.
While speaking with reporters Wednesday, the Jags ran back. Travis Etienne told reporters. Lawrence “was in great spirits.”
“Just seeing him on that field, just running up and looking at him like that. I've never seen anything like that before,” Etienne said of the moment of the injury. “You just hate it. I kind of hate that feeling because we're brothers first and football players second. … I'm just glad he's in a better place mentally. Masu.
“I told him, 'You have a daughter, you're going to be blessed.' So do the right thing, take care of yourself, take care of your family. Please. And we'll hold it here and wait until you come back next year.”

If Lawrence plays his final game of the season, he will finish the season with 2,045 passing yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
His best game of the season came in Week 5 when the Jaguars defeated the Colts, and Lawrence finished the day with 371 passing yards, two touchdown passes, and a completion percentage of 82.4.
