The SEC title game will feature two schools with perhaps the most famous mascots in college sports, but only one will be on the road.
When Texas and Georgia meet Saturday for the SEC Championship in Atlanta for a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff, there's only room for one of the animals at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Bebo, the Longhorns' live mascot, will not be participating in the game because he is not feeling well.

“When Bebo received the request to be on the sideline at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, staff considered several alternatives, including sideline location,” the SEC said in a statement. “The reality is that sideline space in stadiums is limited and we cannot jeopardize the safety of Bebo or anyone attending the game.
“With narrow sidelines and multiple sets for TVs and camera carts, there just isn't enough space. We want to honor tradition throughout the conference, but the reality is that space is limited. .”
