Jamie Foxx will discuss his mysterious health scare from last year in his upcoming special, 'Jamie Foxx: What Happened…'.
The Netflix special, filmed in Atlanta in October, featured a live audience. One member of the audience, DeMecos Chambers, told Fox News Digital that the Fox medical scare that rocked headlines in April 2023 is a serious situation.
Mr Chambers said Mr Fox passed out and went into a coma that lasted several weeks and was “on the verge of death”.

Chambers said one of Fox's daughters visited him while he was in a coma and strummed the guitar for him. The actor is the father of Corinne and Anneliese.

“And it was reaching a breaking point, so his daughter came to the hospital and started playing this song on the guitar. It's like this cherished song between him and her.”
“And ever since she started doing that, his vitals and everything started coming back while he was in a coma. So the doctors can't explain. No one can explain what's going on. And my daughter I don’t even really recognize it.” [of] what happened. She is simply there to support her father in any way she sees fit. Mr Chambers said Mr Fox told the audience that doctors had told him he had a “30 per cent chance of survival”. Chambers also revealed that Fox brought in medical and rehabilitation staff at the end of the show.
Mr Chambers explained that Mr Fox uploaded a selfie of himself in the hospital to social media, which has since been deleted. According to an event attendee, Foxx uploaded a selfie in which he appeared to be “pale” to assure his fans that he was safe.
“So while he was in an induced drug intoxication state at the hospital, he decided to go into the hospital bathroom, take a selfie, and post it,” Chambers said.
“So he posted a selfie and he looked really pale. You know, he was on drugs and stuff and he posted online like, 'Guys, I'm fine.' 'And he looks like a very pale version of himself, and everyone's like, 'Oh my god, they just cloned Jamie Foxx.' joked.
While Fox details some very serious medical scares, Chambers pointed out that some of the Netflix specials are funny.
