Insurance companies scrub execs’ info from websites after after Brian Thompson’s murder

Paranoid healthcare and insurance companies deep clean their websites, removing biographies and photos of top executives following the assassination of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson did.

Immediately after Wednesday's murder, UnitedHealthcare retired its “About Us/Leadership” web page that featured Thompson's photo and biography.

Now, an error message pops up instead.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield's leadership web page now redirects to the company's “About Us” page.
Caresource, Medica, and Elevance Health also removed photos and information of executives from their websites.

CVS Health, which owns Cigna Group and Aetna, removed photos of top leaders from their respective websites but left the executives' biographies intact.

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield previously listed its top 25 employees on its leadership page, which now redirects to the company's “About Us” page.

Other insurance companies, including CareSource, Medica and Elevance Health, have also removed photos and information of executives from their websites.

Some healthcare CEOs' Wikipedia pages may also be marked for deletion.

Meanwhile, the investigation into Thompson's killer entered its fourth day on Saturday.

Thompson, 50, was shot at 6:44 a.m. as he approached an investor event at the Hilton Midtown without any security.
