Shortly after Barry Keoghan deactivated his Instagram account, the “Saltburn” actor, who was rumored to have cheated on his girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter, took to social media to explain his decision and ask for respect.
“All I can do is sit back and bear it. My name is being dragged across the internet in a way that I don't normally react to,” he said. I wrote to X. “Time is running out, so you must reply now.”[g] To a place where there are too many lines to cross.
“I can no longer let this distract me from my family or work, so I have deactivated my account. The messages I receive should never be read by anyone. My looks, my personality, my Absolute lies, hate, disgusting comments about how I do things as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.

“I'm taking away my character and everything I've worked hard for and stood for,” he continued. “I talked about how I was a heroine baby, how I grew up, and I dragged my loving mother there. I knocked on my grandma's door. I sat outside my baby's house. and threatened them. That's over the line.”
“Every day I try harder to improve myself on every level so that I can be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy,” he concluded. “I want to provide him with the opportunity to learn, make mistakes and grow. I want him to respect his father, trust me completely and know that I will support him no matter what.” Remember, when he grows up, he has to read all about his father. Sources confirmed the two were taking a break after first sparking romance rumors in December 2023.
“They are both young and career-focused, so they decided to take a break,” a source told People magazine.
