President-elect Donald Trump said Sunday he was not happy with FBI Director Christopher Wray, saying Wray broke into his home during an interview on “Meet the Press.”
“He broke into my house. I'm suing the state for that. He broke into Mar-a-Lago. I'm very unhappy with what he did. And the crime is It's at an all-time high. Immigration is pouring into this country.'' As we discussed, it's coming from prisons and mental hospitals, and I can't say I'm excited, again, I. doesn't want to be Joe Biden and answer you. I'm the opposite of doing it exactly,” he told NBC News host Kristen Welker.
President Trump installed Wray as FBI director during his first term and recently announced plans to nominate Kash Patel as FBI director.
“What I'm trying to say is, I'm certainly not happy with him. Look what happened. And when I got shot in the ear, he said, maybe It was a splinter. Where did the splinter come from? Was it from heaven? i don't think so. So we need somebody — you know, I have a lot of respect for the FBI, but my respect for the FBI has really gone down in the last few years. ”.

Welker said Trump would need to fire Wray to make room for Patel.
“If Mr. Kash takes office, he will be replacing someone, and that someone is the person you are talking about,” Trump said.
Mr. Ray is currently serving a 10-year term starting in 2017.
Mr. Wray may choose to voluntarily resign from his position before President Trump takes office, but he has not yet indicated whether he intends to do so. If Mr. Wray does not voluntarily resign, Mr. Trump could become the only president in U.S. history to fire and appoint two separate FBI directors.
