Former Giants receiver Kadarius Toney reminded everyone why things didn't work out.
In the midst of the Browns' loss to the Steelers on Sunday, Toney made a questionable effort to forget.
Unfortunately for Toney, the Steelers got the ball back and wasted the Browns' comeback outside shot.
Early in the quarter, Toney took a fair catch on a punt return and threw the ball to Ben Skovronek for showboating (who later recovered the muffled punt), but earned a taunting penalty.
The penalty forced Cleveland to start the drive from its own 21-yard line instead of its own 36-yard line.
Toney ended up with zero catches on the day, but of all the plays he was given a fair catch followed by this muffled punt and a thoughtless taunting penalty.
Toney was drafted by the Giants with the 20th overall pick in the infamous 2021 NFL Draft, and was immediately traded to the Kansas City Chiefs midway through the following season.
This was the Browns' third appearance.
