Lara, the wife of the president-elect's second son Eric Trump, who began her political career in March 2024 as co-chair of the RNC, has been widely discussed as considering potential options as a stepfather. He returned to the White House for a second term.

Lara only began his journey as co-chair in March, playing a key role in helping Republicans regain the Senate majority while maintaining a slim House majority.
