Trump, 78, praised Crosby for breaking “every fundraising record in history” during her time as RNC treasurer and credited her with “strengthening the financial foundation of our party.”

“KC has been with me since the beginning and helped elect real Republicans across the country. He will be a great co-chair of the RNC!” the president-elect added. “KC remains committed to ensuring a highly functional, fiscally responsible, and effective RNC that makes election integrity its top priority.”

“I fully support KC Crosby as the next co-chair of the RNC!”

Crosby will be vying to replace outgoing RNC co-chair Lara Trump, who announced Sunday that she plans to formally resign at the next meeting.

Lara Trump, 42, who was elected co-chair of the RNC in March, was a key figure in the Republican Party that won the White House and the Senate while maintaining a majority in the House of Representatives on Election Day.

“The work I came for is done,” Lara Trump wrote to X.

In an interview with The Associated Press, she expressed interest in filling Secretary of State nominee Marco Rubio's Florida Senate seat.

“That's something I would seriously consider,” Lara Trump told the outlet.

In endorsing Crosby, Trump praised Lara's work at the RNC.

“Lara, along with President Michael Whatley, transformed the RNC into a lean, focused, and powerful organization that energized the MAGA movement for many years to come,” the president-elect wrote. “Lara, thank you for all you do to make America great again!”

President Trump also announced two nominees for his administration on Monday.

The president-elect has appointed Mark Paoletta as general counsel for the Office of Management and Budget and Harmeet Dhillon as assistant attorney general for civil rights at the Department of Justice.

Paoletta, whom President Trump called a “brilliant and tenacious lawyer,” served in the same role during the 45th president's first term.

Dillon is a religious freedom attorney and general counsel for Trump's 2020 campaign.

“Harmeet is a respected member of the Sikh religious community,” President Trump said on the X show. “In his new role at the Department of Justice, Harmeet will be a tireless defender of our constitutional rights and will fairly and decisively enforce civil rights and election laws.”
