Miami Heat listening to Jimmy Butler trade offers

Jimmy Butler's time in Miami may be coming to an end.

The Heat are listening to trade offers for the six-time NBA All-Star. According to ESPN's Shams Charania.

Butler's agent, Bernie Lee, told league officials that his client is open to leaving the Heat for the Warriors, Mavericks or Rockets.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra put a damper on the rumors after Tuesday's practice, but there are still about two months until the Feb. 6 trade deadline.

“This was our best and most consistent season.” Spoelstra spoke to reporters about the trade rumors.. “So, other stuff, other stories, I don't care. No one should, because most of this stuff is just gibberish.”

Butler, 35, has a $52 million player option for the 2025-26 season.

Previous reports revealed that Butler intended to decline his option and become a free agent.

Last summer, the Heat and Butler failed to reach extensions.

At the time, The Athletic reported that Butler wanted to remain in South Beach and that the team had “no interest” in trading the superstar.

Miami has won each of its last three games and is in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with 12 wins and 10 losses.

Butler has played in 17 games this season, averaging 19 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, shooting 55.7 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range.

Butler led the Heat to five consecutive postseason appearances since arriving from the 76ers, including two trips to the NBA Finals and one appearance in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Butler, now in her 30s, has struggled to stay healthy in recent years.

Butler hasn't played more than 65 games in a season since 2016-17, his last season with the Bulls.
