Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) has indicated he “probably” won't run for re-election in six years, when he turns 89.
The 83-year-old senator is best known for supporting and despised socialist economic policies (and sabotage) Supported by the Democratic establishment during the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, he is one of the oldest members of the Senate.

Sanders has served in the Senate since 2006 and was re-elected in November. He previously served eight terms in the House of Representatives, becoming a member in 1991.
