Jimmy Butler's agent is pushing back against what he calls “bullish reports” about teams willing to trade the Heat star this season.
Posted by Agent Barney Lee Series of posts on X This comes in response to a report from ESPN's NBA Insider Shams Charania, which suggests Butler has hinted to league officials that Butler intends to go to the Suns while the Heat listen to trade offers. It was something I did.
Dallas, Houston and Golden State are also named in Charania's report, but Lee shot down the idea that anything in the story is true.
He also called out prominent NBA insiders in the process.
“Okay, listen up,” Lee wrote in his first response. “I gave you a pass yesterday because I was busy, but if you don’t stop putting my name on a completely fabricated bull, you’re usually not worth my time to acknowledge.” Because I know.”
Lee continued the backlash in a second post to X.
“I'm a middle-aged father, so I don't know what I would do, but I do know that it would be deeply disgusting,” he wrote. “The world…this is all a fabrication. I have never done it before and, to be honest, doing what was reported by that 'journalist' is a terrible thing for myself and for the position I represent. It's of no use.”
Charania reported Tuesday that the Heat are listening to offers for Butler and intend to make a deal if the price is right.
The reporter also cited a source who said Lee had hinted to NBA officials about Butler's preferred destinations, which included Houston, Dallas and Golden State, with Phoenix later added. also mentioned.
In his last post to X on the issue, Lee appeared to once again criticize Charania.

“I'm ashamed to say this is my chance to say something bad about me. 'When I let Chat GPT write a tweet, I turned into an old-fashioned Peter Vexy.'” (Shams Peter was a writer in the 90s ) Become a trendsetter.. Invent something new I got hacked. Please continue everything. Thank you,” Lee wrote.
The Miami Herald reported. As of Wednesday night, Butler had not requested a trade, and the Heat are not actively looking to trade the star.
The Nets are not thought to be interested in bringing Butler to Brooklyn, the paper's Brian Lewis reported.
Butler has a $52 million player option for the 2025-26 season, which was previously reported to be declined in order to become a free agent.
Butler plans to sign a max contract with the Heat or another team this offseason, the Herald reported.
