IRVING, Texas (AP) — Rape allegations against rapper Jay-Z, whose company Roc Nation produces some of the NFL's entertainment productions, including the Super Bowl halftime show, have left the league and music It won't affect his relationship with world mogul Jay-Z.
“I am aware of the civil allegations and Jay-Z's very strong reaction to them,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday after the league's winter meetings. “We know there is a lawsuit going on right now. From our standpoint, our relationship with them has not changed, including as we prepare for the next Super Bowl.”
The woman who was suing Sean “Diddy” Combs, alleging that she raped her at an awards show afterparty in 2000 when she was 13, amended her lawsuit on Sunday, adding that Jay-Z was also in attendance at the party. It included a new claim that it was Participated in sexual assault.
Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) said: The rape charge against him is part of an extortion racket.. The 24-time Grammy winner called the allegations “ridiculous” and “inherently heinous” in a statement released by one of his companies, Roc Nation.
The NFL partnered with Jay-Z's Roc Nation in 2019 for events and social activities. The league and the entertainment company extended their partnership several months ago.
Kendrick Lamar will perform the Super Bowl halftime show at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9th. Roc Nation and Emmy Award-winning producer Jesse Collins will serve as co-executive producers of the halftime show.

“I think they're very familiar with not only the Super Bowl, but other events that they've advised and worked with us on,” Goodell said. “They have been a great help to us many times in the social justice area. They have been a great partner.”
