Radio host Charlamagne the God says 'old man' President Joe Biden should grant 'preemptive pardons' to political opponents who waged legal battles against President-elect Donald Trump during the 2024 election He added, “Doesn't that make you seem guilty?” ”
“Mr. Trump won fair and square. That's a fact, and I don't think President Biden should issue a preemptive pardon. [it] If you ask me, people look guilty,” Charlamagne said on Thursday's episode. The Breakfast Club.
See below:
“Biden should pardon all non-violent drug offenders in federal prison,” Charlamagne added. “He should pardon everyone who's in federal prison for non-violent convictions, okay? He should pardon. [former Baltimore City State’s Attorney] Marilyn Mosby. ”
“This is the pardon he needs to work on before the old man rises from here,” the radio host asserted.
Charlamagne's co-host DJ Envy could then launch a legal battle against President Trump during the 2024 election and seek retribution against those who “tried to lock him up.” he suggested.
“Yes, but why would I forgive you if you were not involved in any crime?” Charlamagne retorted. “If I gave you a pre-emptive pardon, wouldn’t it seem like you would feel guilty?”
But Envy said granting a preemptive pardon could simply look like “we know who Trump is and we know what Trump is probably going to do.” He claimed that there was.
“Or maybe President Trump knows something that we don't know, and that's why he's going after these people,” Charlamagne countered. “I don't understand why you would preemptively give someone a pardon, saying, 'Okay, we know this person is guilty of something, and Trump might go after them.' I can only think that there is.”
Envy replies, “Because he's been saying for the past few years that he's going to turn on them,” to which Charlamagne counters, “Yeah, but he can't just turn on you for no reason.”
“To me, it seems strange to pre-emptively issue a pardon,” Charlamagne said. “But what do I know? I try to stay out of white people's business.”
Kamala Harris' claim that President Trump may “go after” those who have weaponized the government against him probably means the 45th president intends to take revenge on his “enemies” if he wins a second term. This may have stemmed from a claim made during the Vice President's campaign.
But President Trump recently said that America's success would be his “retribution.”
