On Tuesday, police officers in Fall River, Massachusetts, discovered a man who appeared to be channeling his inner Santa Claus.
The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Robert Lenglet, allegedly tried to evade police by jumping down the chimney of a home in the area, according to News Channel 9. reported Thursday.

While authorities were executing a search warrant, two men climbed onto the roof and fled. Police said one of the suspects fled by jumping from the roof onto a parked car.
In a social media post Wednesday, the Fall River Police Department explained What happened, Lenglet writes, “was to evoke the essence of the symbol of the season and hide in the chimney.”

Lenglet soon became trapped in the chimney and required the help of the detectives who had previously escaped. With assistance from the Fall River Fire Department and Fall River Emergency Medical Services, Mr. Langre was extricated and taken into custody. As a precautionary measure, Lenglet was taken to a local hospital, where he was medically cleared because he felt like Santa. He was formally arrested on numerous charges of possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug, and outstanding warrants. Tanisha Ibey, 32, was also arrested on charges of possession of a class A drug and possession of a class B drug, but they were less superficial.
On the evening of December 10, 2024, detectives from the Community Action and Suppression Team (CAST) conducted a search.

police body camera footage show A police officer was talking to a neighbor who said, “I was walking my dog a little while ago, and I heard some people screaming, and I looked up and there was a guy getting off at the house in the back, and I saw him.'' went down the chimney.”
“Are you in the chimney?'' the policeman asked, to which the man replied, “I'm in the chimney.''
When the officers found the suspect in the chimney, one of the officers told him: Please show me your hands. ” But the would-be Santa Claus seems to be firmly trapped inside the chimney.
The clip shows the top of Langre's head. Moments later, a video captured the moment firefighters broke through the bricks and pulled him to safety.
As explained in a previous post, last night, December 10, 2024, Detectives from the Community Action and Suppression Team (CAST) executed a search warrant at 127 Canal Street. In this case, Robert Langre, 33, tried to evade arrest by hiding inside a chimney. Unable to free him, detectives called friends from the Fall River Fire Department and Fall River Emergency Medical Services to the scene to rescue Mr. Langre, who was trapped in the chimney. In a similar case in 2019, a naked man accused of attempting to rob a home in Los Angeles was found trapped in a chimney and arrested, Breitbart News reported.
