Michael Moore Wants to ‘Pour Gasoline’ on ‘1000 Percent Justified Anger’ After UnitedHealthcare CEO Murder

Michael Moore reacts to the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, saying he wants to “pour gasoline” on the “anger” people feel toward the health insurance industry.

Friday in Substack postMoore said that while he condemned “murder” in general, he did not condemn the “anger” people feel “at the health insurance industry.” In fact, he wants to fuel that anger even further.

“That anger is 1000% justified. It's been a long time since the media picked it up. It's not new. It's been boiling over. And I'm not going to quell it or ask people to shut up. . I want to pour gasoline on that anger,” Moore wrote.

Moore went on to point out that Thompson's murder suspect Luigi Mangione appears to have referenced his work in his manifesto.

“In the manifesto, he mentions how I have 'exposed corruption and greed' and that people turn to my work to understand the complexities and abuses of power within the current system.” “I'm hinting that I should go,” Moore pointed out.

“My work rarely gets the highest five-star reviews from actual murderers,” he added, revealing that he received a ton of calls and emails asking him to condemn the murders.

In response to these questions, Moore wrote: “Do I condemn murder? That's a strange question,” he said, before pointing out that he condemns murder in the film, which should be proof that he doesn't condone violence. did.

But as for those who blame the “rage against the health insurance industry,” Moore said, “I'm not one of them.”

“Because this anger is not about killing the CEO. If everyone who was angry was ready to kill the CEO, the CEO would already be dead. That's not what this reaction is about.” said Moore.

“That's on top of the massive amounts of death and misery, physical suffering, emotional abuse, medical debt, denied claims and treatment, and ballooning insurance premiums that this 'health care' industry is responsible for. It's about bankruptcy in the face of unknown deductibles that have been imposed on Americans for decades,” he added, claiming the government is enabling “murder” of the health care industry. .

Mr. Moore continued:

Yes, I condemn murder, and that's why I condemn America's broken, despicable, greedy, bloodthirsty, unethical and immoral medical industry, and yes, I condemn murder. I blame all the CEOs in charge of it and I blame all the politicians who steal their money and money. Instead of tearing this system apart, tearing it apart, and throwing it all away, let it continue. We need to replace this system with one that is healthy, one that is caring and loving – one that sustains people. alive.

“This is a moment where we can make that change,” Moore added, before attacking the “mainstream media” for refusing to publish Mangione's manifesto.

Moore ended his lengthy post with a link to the 2007 film. sickoand calls for the United States to “throw this entire system in the trash” and implement “universal” government-funded cradle-to-grave health care.
