Majority Support Banning Minors from Accessing Transgender Procedures

Survey finds that a majority supports banning minors from receiving transgender treatments such as surgery, hormone therapy and puberty blockers. economist/YouGov found.

Notably, most Democrats (63%) said they oppose banning children's access to such procedures. Of those, 52% “strongly” opposed it. Only 21% of Democrats support banning children's access to these procedures, and 16% remain unsure.

The survey was conducted Dec. 8-10, 2024 among 1,593 U.S. adults. There is a margin of error of +/- 3.2%. This happened during the fight on Capitol Hill over transgender issues. Namely, Rep.
