A 32-year-old woman was shot to death and her uncle injured inside her Queens home early Monday morning, and blood stains were found in a car parked outside, police and sources said.
Jennifer Navarrete, 32, was found with a gunshot wound to the head around 1:15 a.m. inside the College Point apartment complex on 14th Street near 119th Street, authorities said.
Navarrete was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The injured uncle, 49, arrived at a Flushing hospital about 15 minutes later with gunshot wounds to his arm and back, police and officials said. He was listed in stable condition.
Investigators found a Volkswagen parked outside the building, believed to belong to one of the victims, with a trail of blood inside, officials said.
Officials said four shell casings were also found at the scene.
Police say the gunman is believed to be known to both victims.
According to officials, after the shooting, a tenant on the first floor reported seeing a man, believed to be between 20 and 30 years old, running away.
No arrests have been made and investigators are searching for footage that may lead to clues.
