Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police announced last week that an investigation into Payton's death is ongoing. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
Davis said this week that he knows as little about the investigation as the public does.
“I just want my best friend to get the justice he deserves and to rest in peace,” she said.
