The Mets announced they set a new record for first-day sales, ultimately tripling their first-day sales total last offseason.
Over the course of a full week, they reported double sales compared to last year.
“Prior to the excitement of last week, ticket demand during the offseason was the strongest in recent history,” Mets senior vice president of ticket sales Jake Bye said in a statement. . “This started with a dramatic jump to the NLCS and was further accelerated by the addition of generational talent like Juan Soto.”
Bai said ticket demand has been “excellent so far during the off-season and we expect the positive response to continue into the new year.”

The team said season ticket sales are spiking, as well as spring training games in Port St. Lucie.
Last year, the Mets ranked 17th in MLB in attendance, drawing 2.3 million people (average 29,484).
The New York State Baseball Hall of Fame announced this week that former Mets cameraman Mark Levine will be posthumously inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2025.
Levine, who passed away suddenly on July 4, worked for the Mets for more than 35 years.
