President Joe Biden appears to be struggling with the prospect of retiring from public life, according to some sources. new york times The report was released on Tuesday.
After withdrawing from the race, Biden reportedly told allies that he was bored, grumpy and angry. He is clearly angry because many Democrats opposed pardoning his son. Depressing boredom is apparently the result of being kicked out of running for re-election.
One might think that Biden might be ready to retire, but it appears he is not ready to step away from public life, even as reports about his health begin to surface.

After speaking for seven minutes, his blue shirt draped loosely around his body on this humid day, he turned and slowly limped away down the dirt path, but some in the audience recognized him. Several people, not used to seeing him up close, said they held their breath, worried that he might trip. (Aides say his gait was less erratic than usual.)

When Biden visited the National Slavery Museum that afternoon, he didn't actually go into the main building to view the exhibits. Instead, the artifacts were taken outside to show him, but two people familiar with the plans say this was because they feared the steep stairs would be too difficult. (The White House denied that the stairs were a concern, saying they did not take him indoors for scheduling and logistical reasons.)

Some of those who traveled with Mr. Biden on those two visits noted that Mr. Biden maintained a light schedule at times, sometimes tweeting and being difficult to understand. He appeared to be deep in thought as the end of his career was in sight. At one point, during a private meeting, he reminisced about the famous 1960 debate between John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon.
In February, special counsel David Herr characterized Biden as an old man with a poor memory. The report received little attention in establishment media. Biden held onto the top spot until his abysmal debate performance against President-elect Donald Trump revealed himself.
