3 married men weigh in on Travis Hunter’s relationship drama following Heisman ceremony

Over the weekend, Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter defeated Boise State running back Ashton Giunty to win the Heisman Trophy.

While football is clearly going well for the soon-to-be drafted player, his fiancée Leanna Reaney's actions at the ceremony caught the attention of millions and cast a cloud over what was supposed to be a game of pure fun. I threw it.

Renee came under fire for not standing up when Hunter was announced as the Heisman winner. Deion Sanders had to urge her to stand up and congratulate the man, according to online reports.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the controversy surrounding Lenny. Fans also attacked her for her old remark that Hunter wasn't her type. Two viral videos also fueled troubling rumors surrounding Renee. One of them shows Hunter angry at him for taking a photo with a female fan at an Adidas store, and another shows Hunter angry with Hunter for taking a photo with a female fan at an Adidas store, and another shows Hunter angry after the Buffaloes' win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys. It shows him looking visibly upset.

In the story, she seems to be a bad egg who can't stand not being the center of attention.

Hunter has issued multiple statements defending Renee and telling fans and the press to back off. Ms. Renee also addressed the scandal in a TikTok video in which she claimed that all the abuse made against her was the result of a misunderstanding by “bird-brained” people.

Jason Whitlock thinks Hunter needs a little marital advice before he marries Renee.

“There's no way you'd be on social media in the middle of that relationship,” he said, adding that as an unmarried man he doesn't have much experience to draw on.

Anthony Walker, a married visiting pastor, says, “It's you, your spouse, and God. That's kind of the core.” [of a marriage]But “as we bring into our marriage all the other eyes that look and all the other voices that contribute, we move further and further away from that.”

Christian commentator and author Virgil Walker praised Hunter for not only rebelling against the status quo and seeking marriage at a young age, but also for defending Lennie.

But “if he's going to allow a few people on stream to sway him into probably one of the best nights of his life – winning the Heisman, he's going to grow a very thick skin very quickly.” “You'd better have a trophy — he'll come back and bemoan the fact that somebody had something to say about it,” Walker says. “There's a lot of growing to do on his part.”

TJ Moe echoes Walker's sentiments. “I love his instinct to protect his fiancée.”

But Hunter was clearly unprepared for the “social media onslaught and criticism,” and Mo blamed Deion Sanders for that.

“Dion should have said, 'Ignore all the noise. Don't react to any of it. Your wife, your children, your parents, everyone around you. You're going to get hit. And your job is to go back to them and say, “I'll support you no matter what, and you don't have to worry about anyone else.'' he explains.
