Here is the list of those accepted:
*Not included*: president biden$24 billion funding request for Ukraine
how do they feel about it? : Some Republicans are complaining about all the add-ons. This started out as a simple short-term extension to give the government a few more months of funding, but it has grown in size.
speaker mike johnson(R-Rabada) are doing exactly what they didn't want to do. That means cramming it all into a monster year-end package. House Freedom Caucus bill nickname “Cramnibus”.
What a festive insult.:Johnson pushed back Regarding criticism that the bill is a “Christmas tree” with lots of decorations hanging on it. 🎄
|
Not supported by Elon Musk :Trump ally and tech billionaire Elon Muskopposed this bill. “Have you ever seen a bigger pork?'' he said. Posted in X, are discussing “This bill should not be passed.”
Timing — OK, GO!: If Johnson goes through the normal process, MPs will have at least 72 hours to consider the bill before voting. This sets up a House vote on Friday. In that case, the Senate would need to act quickly to pass it by the midnight deadline. But questions remain as to whether Prime Minister Boris Johnson will circumvent the self-imposed 72-hour rule.
^ Voting may be coming soon (!) : Punch Bowls Jake Sherman report There are rumors about the bill being voted on in the House today.why? :There are concerns that waiting would give time for opposition to grow.
