NYC Mayor Eric Adams’ top aide Ingrid Lewis-Martin surrenders to authorities on bribery charges

Ingrid Lewis Martin, a top aide to New York City Mayor Eric Adams, turned herself in to authorities early Thursday morning to face potential bribery charges. This makes him the most high-profile city official to face charges since Mayor Adams was indicted on federal corruption charges in late September. .

Lewis Martin, who appeared in a Manhattan criminal court wearing a leopard-print top and bold red lipstick, accused two businessmen of giving his DJ son a $100,000 loan to buy a Porsche. He is accused of aiding, the Post reported.

Manhattan prosecutors believe that Lewis Martin, in his role at City Hall, helped block a construction project run by two businessmen.

In exchange for the favor, the businesswomen gave her son, Glenn Martin II, also known as DJ Swerve Luciano, a large loan to buy a luxury car, sources told The Post.

Lewis Martin, her son and at least one businessman, hotelier Mayank Dwivedi, are expected to be charged.

Dwivedi's lawyer, Tenny Geragos, told the Post Wednesday night: “The prosecutor's office's knowledge of the facts is incomplete and inaccurate. We look forward to setting the record straight and proving Mr. Dwivedi's complete innocence.”
